Human Resources Manager
Karen grew up in Oakville Ontario and completed her Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Ontario. She then went on to complete here B.Ed from Canisius College and taught in a primary classroom for 9 years before making the move to the Okanagan. After Karen arrived in Vernon she decided to make a career change and started working part-time for Meridian 15 years ago. She is now our full time Human Resources Manager. Karen has been vital in helping build Meridian up to the expanding company it is now. When she’s not liaising with our staff or working out an IT issue, Karen enjoys swimming, travelling, hiking, snowshoeing and spending time with her husband and two sons.
Originally from Ontario, Caitlyn’s love of snowboarding brought her to BC permanently. As Meridian’s Administrative Assistant, Caitlyn ensures invoices are out on time and oversees the booking and co-ordination of Meridian’s Medical-Legal work. She also oversees the admin side of things for Meridian’s Pediatric Program. Caitlyn lives on an acreage with her boyfriend and their puppy and has hopes of starting up a small hobby farm. But before she graduates to live animals, she’s first seeing how well she does keeping a vegetable garden alive. Caitlyn’s capacity to care brought her to Meridian where she loves the staff, clients, and seeing people return to doing what they love!
Administrative Assistant / Vernon Reception
Originally from Hamilton Ontario, Kaylee joins us after years in the hospitality industry where she is happy to have escaped alive. As a diehard hockey fan (reference the picture to the right) Kaylee never misses a Philadelphia Flyers game, or the chance to trash talk the other therapist’s teams. Kaylee’s favourite part of the job is greeting the clients in the Vernon office and seeing their progression week in and week out. Kaylee also coordinates the the Vernon office’s new client referrals and does a fantastic job of ensuring the candy dish is stocked with all of the good stuff!
Administrative Assistant / Kamloops Reception
Daniel joined our administrative team in the Kamloops office in 2018! Daniel is another friendly face on the Kamloops team who helps out in every way he can. He oversees ICBC invoicing, helps with FCE processes and books all of our Kamloops HandyDART appointments. Daniel grew up in Brisbane, Australia and recently obtained his permanent residency to continue living his best life in Canada. His favourite part about working at Meridian is a toss up between his awesome coworkers and all of the different clients he gets to help on a day-to-day basis in the Kamloops office.
Administrative Assistant / Kelowna Reception
Jenna is our Kelowna administrative assistant and also the first smiling face (and great eyebrows!) that you’ll see in the Kelowna office! On top of keeping the office running smoothly, Jenna books our Kelowna BC Transit Assessments and loves chatting with the clients while they wait for their appointment. And if you’re hard of hearing, no problem – She’s also learning American Sign Language! Jenna was born and raised in Kelowna and now enjoys Okanagan life with her partner and their 3 gold fish!
